C# Mixins, sort of

August 5, 2006

Right now Visual Studio .NET 2005 offers to implement interfaces automatically either explicitly or implicitly. If you choose either, it implements stub methods for the interface with a single statement that throws a MethodNotImplemented exception. I propose that VS also offer to insert a code template for the interface. Programmers can write a template for an interface, which the IDE finds and inserts into the class. It’s like a poor-man’s mixin.
